Not much news...

I don't really have anything to report on from the last week, but I'm trying to post once a week. We went to the zoo again today-we are really loving our season passes. Maggie was more aware of it this time, but I think she just likes to ride in the stroller. The other pictures are some of Tyler and Will playing last week. And the last one is of my friend since birth, Anyssa and me at her baby shower yesterday. She is having a little girl too, Maddie, and she and Maggie will be the same amount of months apart that Anyssa and I are. You may notice a bruise on my arm in the picture-Will is, of course, the perfect child, but once in awhile he likes to remind me that he is two. He came over to give me a hug one day and BIT my arm! I said OUCH and he pulled back and gave me the most mischeivous (no idea how to spell that) smile and said "I bite my mommy." That's a new one for us-I welcome advice.
Hope everyone has a great week.

Happy Father's Day

I know I'm a little late posting a Father's Day message, but we spent the day yesterday at the zoo and then had a follow up with our ENT. He said Will's ears look great and we shouldn't have to go back for another year, so that's good news! It was the fastest doctor's appt. I've ever been to, by the way. Back to father's day. My kids are blessed with such a special dad-for his father's day weekend, he volunteered to keep the kids on Saturday while I went shopping. That's the kind of dad (and husband) he is. Since I had a wedding to go to that afternoon, he ended up spending a good part of the day with them by himself, so I think he was pretty worn out by the time I got home!
The picture of Eric throwing Will in the air is a pretty good example of their time together. They're always laughing and having the best time. By the way, I did not pick Maggie's outfit out to match Eric's shirt on Sunday morning, but I do think it's pretty funny. I had to post the one of Will playing with the "little people" at my mom's house because it brings back memories of playing with those very same toys with my dad when I was little (that's him in the last picture). Not only are my kids blessed with a wonderful father, but they have an awesome grandfather as well (Chief). He is by far Will's favorite person in the world, and not just because he sneaks him chocolate anytime I'm not looking.
Hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend!

Grandma's Visit

We've had so much fun with Eric's mom in town for the last 5 days. She hasn't been down since Will was Maggie's age, so a lot has changed! We spent a lot of time in the yard and at the park, but we went to the zoo today. Needless to say, the weather's a little different here than where she lives in Michigan! You can see by the picture that Maggie really enjoyed her first trip to the zoo. As usual, she was a perfect baby, sleeping through most of the day and taking a bottle like a champ (she usually isn't very fond of the bottle). Will had so much fun looking at all of the animals, but the best was the tiger. For some reason, the tiger LOVED (or hated, it's hard to tell) Eric and kept jumping up on the window and pawing at him everytime he got close. It was a little scary propping Will up on the ledge to see, but of course he loved it. Feeding the birds was a hit, as usual. We finally figured out how to get them to land on our sticks, but then Will would try to grab onto them so they didn't stick around for long. Maggie has officially found her toes, too, and it's so cute to watch her in her bumbo seat trying to grab both feet at the same time. That thing in the middle that helps hold her up is really getting in her way!
